imaginary window
Excavating voids: windows that become openings to the outside, and at the same time, openings that confront themselves, as if the exterior plan was too clean, to be directed to. Looking from the sky we discover two volumes, two defined plans where the major openings that cross along the façade, demarque the concrete beams surfaces, while the reflexive glass hides itself in a darker plan, creating the notion as if the house was just the skeleton, with a forest in-between.
We think we can see through it, when we are actually seeing backwards. An imaginary window.
Appearing to be transparent, non-existing… Architecture as the ability to reverse the process, invert the stage perspective to give audience’s reflection. The barrier door (reflexive and transparent) of past movements , past events ... Architecture is this animal that chooses the timeline were she puts us.
Our time framed: while extracting the need, we are collecting voids.
