jupiter’s banquet

Climbing the stairs, enclosed in Labour of Hercules, to Mercury sky, we arrive at the face of Nemea Lion, in the Greek mythology known as the fiercest animal on earth, suspended, turning the beast, into the welcoming host.

The transition capsule to the dinning and bar room, evoque on the walls - The Abduction of the Sabines – while, on the ceiling, Jupiter is staring…

Organized in 3 different rooms attached to the concept of fluidity dinning, each scene memorized in the walls, represented a different restaurant.

Moving through rooms – The change of narrative, changed the food culture. From one scene to the other, in this Jupiter’s banquet, even the ergonomic position, when seated, changes.

The Palace is placed over the remains of the Fernandine Wall – full of history underneath, the challenge was to plan the infrastructures needed to support the building in function: Structure, water plan, pluming, air condition extractions couldn’t touch the historic wall. The pavements were lifted, and some doors became timelessly open… embedded on the voids unlocked.

An intervention based on the vitality of Labours of Hercules painted on the walls, a flavour that metaphorically, feeds the public.

Feeds the public with drinks of history, raw mythological scenes, a banquet of Greek culture.
